Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles

The Douglas Foundation granted $2.3 million to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles for the purchase of a da Vinci surgical robot used on children as young as 4 months old to help correct urologic problems. At its launching, this robot was the first of its kind on the West Coast. Thousands of successful surgeries have been performed aided by the daVinci® robot, which enables surgeons to operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity, and control.
